Jaipur City
Jaipur was founded in 1727 by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II. Unlike many older Indian cities, Jaipur was carefully planned, making it one of the earliest examples of urban planning in India.
The city layout follows principles of Vastu Shastra (traditional Indian architecture), with a grid-like structure and wide streets.
